The story of BB King - You'd guitar blues on street corners for money?

In his youth he played on street corners for nickels and dimes! He was born September 16, 1925 on a plantation in Itta Bena, Mississippi, near Indianola. He spent his youth playing on street corners for dimes. Today BB King (Riley B. King) averages 250 'overcrowded' concerts worldwide each year.

In 1947, he hitchhiked to Memphis, Tennessee to pursue his musical career and is the first love. His first big break came in 1948 when he performed at theSonny Boy Williamson's radio show. Over the years, also, King has developed one of the most recognizable styles of guitar in the world.

He borrowed from Blind Lemon Jefferson, T-Bone Walker and others, which are diverse and complex as a string-melting voice and his left hand vibrato, both of which have become an essential part of a vocabulary of blues guitar. Its economy, the phrasing all-note-counting, was a model for thousands of players from Eric Clapton and GeorgeHarrison to Jeff Beck.

In mid 1950, two men during a fight during a performance of King's. The men knocked over a kerosene stove and set fire to the position. King rushed out to safety and then realized that he would leave his beloved acoustic guitar. He hastened to reach out and almost lost his life. He discovered later that the fight was over a woman.

He named his guitar Lucille to remind him never to do as crazy as the fight for a woman. Since eachone of King's guitar is named Lucille. And 'the guitar in a name?
