Are You At Risk For Glaucoma?

Imagine a world where everything is black. Do you see a shapeless, colorless and lifeless world? Blindness is a reality that many people have to deal with. Some people are born to be this way while some lose their vision either through a life changing event or gradually, as with glaucoma.

What is Glaucoma?

You may have heard the term "glaucoma" in the health programs in radio and television and usually, it is discussed hand-in-hand with the issue of blindness. Glaucoma is said to be the second leading cause of blindness in the United States. It is the leading cause of blindness for African Americans, who are more prone to the effects of glaucoma than Caucasians.

This certain disease is currently affecting three million Americans, and 4% of these people go blind because of glaucoma. Don't let the percentage fool you, it translates to an actual number of 120,000 people who have gone blind because of glaucoma. All over the world, an estimated 66 million people are suffering from visual impairment due to glaucoma and around 6 million people have gone blind because of glaucoma.

Now that you've seen the problem that is glaucoma, you might as well ask the nature and description of glaucoma. Glaucoma is actually a group of diseases in the eye that is connected with the damaging of the optic nerves. Optic nerves are responsible for delivering information from the brain to the eyes. Damage to the optic nerves can occur when they are under high intraoptic pressure. However, studies have shown that damage can also occur within the range of normal intraoptic pressure.

What are the causes of glaucoma?

There are several notable causes of glaucoma. Studies have shown that the items listed below are some of the most probable causes of the eye disease.

-Medical disorder

There are several common medical disorders that can lead to the development of glaucoma and these disorders can also be catalysts for the aggravation of the disease. Chronic eye diseases other than glaucoma can well be reasons for its development, moreover, previous surgeries involving the eyes can also be a cause of glaucoma. Diabetes and other diseases are also one of the main culprits associated with glaucoma.
Those who take in steroids are also more prone to glaucoma because the use of steroids is much associated with the occurance of the disease.

-Coming of age

As we age, our bodies' efficiency gradually deteriorates. Age is also a common cause of glaucoma. Studies have shown that age and the occurance of glaucoma are directly correlated. This means that as one ages, he is more prone to have glaucoma than when he was younger.

-Ethnicity

Race is also a main factor when it comes to pinpointing the causes of glaucoma. As mentioned earlier, there are more African-Americans that are pestered by glaucoma than Caucasian-Americans. The specific type of glaucoma that is hitting the African-American population is called the chronic glaucoma. African-Americans are also more prone to have glaucoma at a younger age, starting at 45.

-Family glaucoma history

Just like any of the common modern diseases, the possibility of glaucoma occurring is higher in people who come from families who have glaucoma history.

How do you spot glaucoma?

You may think that glaucoma, like any other disease, will manifest itself through signs and symptoms. There are different types of glaucoma and there are different symptoms for each one. The most devastating one is the chronic glaucoma since it doesn't manifest itself through symptoms during its early stages. The victim wouldn't notice that he has this type of glaucoma until he sees that his peripheral vision has deteriorated, at this point in time, the damage done is irreversible. Narrow-angle glaucoma operates similarly as the chronic one. Closed-angel glaucoma manifests itself in the form of headaches, eye pain, vomiting and nausea. Congenital glaucoma, which occurs in children, damages the vision of its victims since they are too young to understand that there is something wrong with their eyes.

How do I avoid glaucoma?

There is really no exact way to prevent glaucoma. The only thing to do is to do everything in your power to take care of your eyes. A proper diet will definitely help in avoiding glaucoma. Vitamins A, E, C and zinc can greatly reduce the chance of getting glaucoma.

Take care of your eyes and treasure them. You'll never know when the culprit will arrive, so be prepared always.

Simple Twist of Fate (Jerry Garcia)

Simple Twist Of Fate They sat together in the park As the evening sky grew dark, She looked at him and he felt a spark tingle to his bones. 'Twas then he felt alone and wished that he'd gone straight And watched out for a simple twist of fate. They walked along by the old canal A little confused, I remember well And stopped into a strange hotel with a neon burnin' bright. He felt the heat of the night hit him like a freight train Moving with a simple twist of fate. A saxophone someplace far off played As she was walkin' by the arcade. As the light bust through a beat-up shade where he was wakin' up, She dropped a coin into the cup of a blind man at the gate And forgot about a simple twist of fate. He woke up, the room was bare He didn't see her anywhere. He told himself he didn't care, pushed the window open wide, Felt an emptiness inside to which he just could not relate Brought on by a simple twist of fate. He hears the ticking of the clocks And walks along with a parrot that talks, Hunts her down by the waterfront docks where the sailers all come in. Maybe she'll pick him out again, how long must he wait Once more for a simple twist of fate. People tell me it's a sin To know and feel too much within. I still believe she was my twin, but I lost the ring. She was born in spring, but I was born too late Blame it on a simple twist of fate. .

Child Abuse - Protecting Those Who Can't Protect Themselves

A child is the most precious gift that you will ever receive. There is nothing in the world like having a tiny version of yourself. I learned this right after my daughter came into the world. It shocked me how similar we appeared. While, on some levels, this may be a little self-indulgent, mostly it's just about caring for and loving someone else even more that you do yourself. And what would you say about parents who take a different road? There are those who are not physically able to bear children and provide them with appropriate care. Clearly, people like this do exist. Without such people, we wouldn't have to worry about child abuse.

I frequently wonder how we can work to protect children from abuse, not only our own children, but also the children all around the world who are not so lucky. Do you know the signs that indicate child abuse? Would you recognize an abused child if you encountered one at your child's school or at a group function? This is not an easy question to answer. Honestly most abusers will find ways to conceal the damage they have done to the person they are abusing. They may whisper their threats or dress their children in clothes that conceal their wounds.

It is very simple for parents to influence children, and these kids, more often than not, will obey their parents, even if their obedience constantly harms them. For this reason, it is up to us to educate our children and community about child abuse. A benefit of today's society is that the schools are providing education about this important topic. At times, what a teacher says is all that they possess. When their parents are bad people, who is a child supposed to trust?

A great book to read regarding violence, assault, and child abuse is "Protecting the Gift." Author Gavin De Becker elaborates on all sorts of violence, potential violence, threats, body language, and all-round survival. The writer instructs the reader to trust their instincts and never make excuses or overlook it. Our natural born tools and senses are more important to our survival than many realize. We need to accept this and use these for our benefit. If you think you know someone who suffers from child abuse, investigate further or contact the authorities. You should be thorough now rather than have regrets down the road. In fact, when children are involved, it's your responsibility to find out what is going on. We have to protect those who can't protect themselves.

Information Regarding Siberian Tiger

Residing in the Conifer and Broadleaf forests east of the Amur River, the Siberian Tigers are solitary cats that enjoy a relatively undisturbed ecosystem devoid in large parts of human activity. Occupying huge territories of up to four thousand square miles, these Amur Tigers are often on the move, covering large distances in search of prey in their isolated wilderness. One Siberian Tiger was once recorded to cover over six hundred miles in the space of three weeks in search of food. The great cat hunts a variety of animals including moose, roe deer, sika deer, musk deer and goral, though red deer and wild boar form the bulk of its diet.

Opportunistic predators, the tigers are known to take even rabbits, hares, pikas and fish (usually salmon) at times. The undisputed king of carnivora, the Siberian Tiger spares not even the Great Russian Brown Bear from its predatory activities. The cats pull out the bears while they are hibernating and attack and kill them. At other times, brown bear kills have been recorded in the open, displaying the superiority of the tiger over the bear as the apex predator on land. The Asiatic black bears are not given any respite by a hungry tiger either. The cunning cat is known to imitate black bear sounds to attract and hunt them.

Even resilient pack animals such as wolves have been nearly exterminated by the tigers. A stalk and ambush predator, the Amur Tiger despite its great power still only succeeds in ten to fifteen percent of hunting attempts. The cat prefers to creep up to ten to twenty five meters of the prey animal before rushing and pouncing upon it, moving at speeds of up to 80 km/hr in its charge. Smaller prey animals are killed by a bite on the nape of neck that breaks the vertebrae and severs the spinal cord. Larger game is brought down by a bite on front of the neck that crushes the windpipe and suffocates the prey. Needing around twenty pounds of meat daily to survive in the wild, the tiger can consume about sixty to hundred pounds in one setting. The kill is often cached, usually near a water body and the cat has been known to return to carcasses to complete its feed.

The Siberian Tiger inhabits the Boreal forests in Far Eastern Asia, residing largely in Russia but also reported in China and North Korea. Panthera Tigris Altaica, it is seen largely in the Amur-Ussuri region of Primorsky and Khabarovsky Krai. Its range has shrunk drastically in the past hundred years and is now a mere fraction of its past domain.

The tigers are known to mate at any time during the year. The receptive female advertises her presence by leaving urine and scratch markings on trees. She is in estrus typically for three to seven days during which the pair mates several times. Like all big cats, the courting individuals focus less on hunting during this time and are particularly hostile to any intruders. Up to six cubs are born after a pregnancy lasting between three to three and a half months, though three to four is the average litter size. Blind and helpless they are sheltered in a den by the ever watchful mother who seldom leaves them during the early weeks, going out only for hunting.

The young open their eyes at two weeks and begin to venture outside at around three months. They are weaned off at around six months and begin to accompany their mother at her hunting trips at this age. Small prey is successfully taken down by the cubs at less than one year of age, and large prey at twice that age. They stay with their mother at up until three to five years of age after which they begin to venture and establish their territories and fend for themselves. Males generally move farther away from their realm, making them easier targets for poachers. As a result adult male tigers are outnumbered by females three to one on average. Lifespan is known to be up to twenty five years.

Amur Tigers were freely hunted in the early part of this century, bringing them to near extinction in most territories. In 1947 hunting was outlawed in the former Soviet Union. Still the tiger continued to suffer at the hands of poachers who made heavy profits by selling the body parts to Chinese traditional medicine makers, earning up to fifty thousand dollars with one tiger. The collapse of Soviet Union accompanied with the breakdown of law and order infrastructure had a particularly adverse impact on the tiger population whereby nearly sixty tigers were reputedly killed yearly by poachers in the few years following 1989. In 1992, The Siberian Tiger Project was founded. This marked the beginning of a turn around in the fate of tiger. In 1993, Chinese Government declared the use of tiger parts for medicinal purposes to be illegal.

In the following years, vigilant monitoring and study resulted in the stabilization of tiger numbers in the wild. Regular patrols were undertaken to deter the poachers and individual tigers were studied to better understand the subspecies and reduce its mortality in its natural habitat. Another successful step was launching of Operation Amba in Russia that continues to protect the Siberian Tigers through collaboration of law enforcement agencies and interaction with local people. Its mission is to neutralize tiger traders and attack and eliminate poaching rings. It has been largely successful in seizing many poaching materials and saving a number of tiger cubs. As a result of these tireless efforts of forest rangers and scientists, today the population of Siberian Tigers in the wild is believed to be around five hundred individuals and this is merely the number in Russia. In fact the Siberian Tiger is the only tiger subspecies whose population is believed to be on the increase. The impressive recovery of the Siberian Tiger is often used as a model plan to save other species.

Traditional Dating Versus Online Dating

When you are single and you wish to place yourself on the dating market, you should first consider what kind of dating you prefer. With today's technology, there are two kinds of dating available - traditional and online.

What does online and traditional dating has to offer?

1) Traditional means. If you are a kind of person that is lucky in finding prospective dates on a regular basis using traditional dating methods, you may not need online dating. However, if you have a hard time finding a date in real time, you will benefit from online dating services.

2) The importance of time. For most single people, time is a valuable thing. When a busy and stressful daily life captures you, you will not have time to go out to party and meet new people. Online dating saves your time because it acts as a filter before you even meet someone.

3) Common location. In traditional dating, location will never be a problem because most of the time, you are acquainted at parties, social events, and other happenings just around the city. Although online dating offers you the opportunity to meet new people in all parts of the world, it would be a problem when you are located three continents farther from your date.

4) The dreaded blind date. Have you ever experienced being set up by your friends with no clue on whom your date would be? Well, if you hate this scenario of traditional dating, you would enjoy online dating. Through the internet, you have the opportunity to get to know someone before you meet face to face. By becoming acquainted with your date beforehand, you could easily see the probability of a smooth conversation when you meet in real time.

5) The dream partner. When you meet a person in a bar, party or social gatherings, the first thing that attracts you to someone includes the physical attributes. You may not know where the person was born, goals in life or personality. In dating online, you have the choice to search for possible dates that have the same interest, religion, location, personality, and situation as yourself. There is a larger possibility that you would find the person who would complement you the most.

6) Cost effective. Unlike meeting your date for dinner or coffee, online dating is more cost effective than traditional dating.

Whatever kind of dating you decide is suitable for you, always be cautious in giving out personal information to a person you just met. Be sure that your date is genuinely safe. He could either be the person of your dreams or your worst nightmare.

Why Do Pretty Girls CRY?

As I was drying my hair, my brain started to work. (scary!!) I was thinking about a few comments that I had heard from guys here and there regarding, "Why Pretty Girls Cry". Of course I had to question them in order to get them to reveal their thoughts on the subject. I asked them a simple question- "Do you think that women that are pretty dislike other pretty women?" Hmmm, I received a lot of answers immediately, without any thought, seemingly. The answer that was the most popular was.."NO!!" I know so many women that are beautiful and the last thing that they would think about themselves, is exactly that. They cannot see what we see in them at all. They think every other women in the world has more to offer.

My next question was, "do you think that women constantly compare themselves to other woman?" This question took no time at all for them to answer. "Yes and no, They think that we (men) are comparing them to other women. And that's what gets them all weird". Additionally, "They think that we are lusting after them in our minds or wondering what they would look like naked. They compare themselves with other women, yes, but in more of a way to improve themselves for us. My girlfriend compares herself with women that do not even come close to her on a any scale and still finds reason to knock herself down".

Hmmm, I seem to be saying that a few times, but it's because women are so generalized. If one women is one way with one guy, he thinks all women are like that. When women generalize men, they call us male bashers, or feminists. What do we call guys that generalize us from their past experiences?

So whats up with the fact that pretty girls really do not look at themselves as pretty girls? Is it something from their past?. (seems like the bottom line for everything)

I, myself remember a guy asking me that exact question. "Why do all the pretty girls think they are ugly?". I shrugged. I really had no answer. I never put myself on that level, of being pretty that is.

In all the research that I have been doing on this subject, I will tell you this, `beauty is in the eyes of the beholder`, nothing more, nothing less. If we look in the mirror and see no beauty, that is in our minds only. Not in our partners minds or a strangers mind. We are constantly supported by our spouses and we constantly mistrust their comments. Why? When are we going to start to see ourselves as a beautiful being? A UNIQUE being. A one and only being.

Ladies when you cross paths with another that you feel is way above you, for whatever reason, shoes, hair, dress, body, or just her smile, think this; she is also looking at you and seeing something in you that she lacks and would love to have.

Also, it's part of us, built into us, and born with it in our brain to compare.

Some will look for weakness or flaws in others just to make themselves feel good. That is a negative comparison. It is not a bad thing to want to be a better person. We just have to be very careful to not take it to an extreme that blinds others to our thoughts and intentions.

Men tend to automatically call us jealous when we reveal our thoughts, if another women is involved. Another mystery in my mind; Jeesh, we are not always that worried, OK. So get off your ego trip guys. Sometimes we are genuinely curious as to why we see and feel the vibes we get from you. Also as you read earlier, just maybe, we care and we want to improve ourselves. Maybe men should try and do that sometime. Then they will actually see where we are coming from.

Another thing I have noticed is that men are very good at making us believe that we are doing what they say. Why is that? Is it to win an argument and feel totally in control of our thoughts or is it that they themselves feel vulnerable at times and less than perfect to us. Men have told me that they do not look at other men and wish they were like them. Well duh! Would that not make them female? Why does everyone try so hard to give excuses to genders?. Why can't we just accept and appreciate each other for our differences? Why do we have to be so damn equal on everything?

Females are soft, sensual, sensitive, emotional, passionate, intelligent creatures. That's us, and we are tired of apologizing for how we were born. We work overtime trying to understand our male counterparts. We are what makes them tick. They are what make us tick. We want nothing more than to be their everything. What is so wrong with that? Men are strong, protective, sexual, and feeling beings.

Men and women together make a very nice song.

These are just my thoughts as you all know, so take them with a grain of salt. Has society totally confused what real people are all about, to the point that some do not even know they are pretty? That is a sad thought. Some may think that I have nothing good to say. Well I actually have a lot of good to say. I wish that life was a perfect world. It is not even close. My thoughts tend to deal with the real world and it is not all that great for some. One can not go up until they have gone all the way down.

We are all pretty in some ways. People think way to much about the outer physical appearance and I wish that I could meet the first person that started that negative seed. When did things get so out of proportion?

There are too many worries and too many unhappy women out there. If I can at least help one woman see how pretty she is, then my course is set. Ladies we are all a gift, one that is truly cherished by our loved ones. Never let that go neglected. Remember, you choose your thoughts. You are the pretty girl that your man wants, desires, and will spend the rest of his life with. It's who we are that makes us the perfect woman. Not just what we look like, because we are not always going to look the same. Everyone grows older and everyone changes their outward appearance. What does stay the same, is who we are inside. Our REAL person is what it's all about. I will end with this thought:

ONE ALWAYS THINKS OTHERS ARE HAPPIER!

What Does Your Newborn See in His First Few Days?

A young baby is aware of a lot more then we used to think in the past. In fact some of the capabilities of very young children are astonishing. In the "Good Old Days" people thought that a newborn was almost blind. They thought a baby couldn't focus and was more or less colorblind. Meaning that a newborn is only aware of a fuzzy colorless world. We know now that this is not the case.

A newborn is not that little being focused only on himself and his own needs, like hunger, thirst, and other discomfort. From day 1 a newborn is fairly alert, interested and aware of what is happening in his surroundings. He is capable of experiencing and very interested about what is going on is his world. Contrary to old beliefs a baby is able to focus on objects and people that are about 10 inches away. Things that are closer of further away are out of focus, if this were different our newborn would be highly intimidated by the multitude of stimuli. If a child can see color from the moment its born is still unknown, but chances are that he can. And if not he or she will learn in a very short while.

A natural preference for faces

So your baby sees the same things you see, but of course has no idea about its meaning. That's something he has to learn. Still very young children have a clear cut preference for certain objects. He or she will stare (or gaze if you will) to more complicated and will show more interest to moving then to static objects. This is one of the reasons your face is so enormously interesting to him. The eye contact that he is capable of during the first few days is very important for the development of his social skills.

Your baby is programmed so to speak to find your face attractive and inviting. As his interest in your face grows, his interest in the rest of the human species will grow with it.

It takes about 8 months before your baby is really capable of recognizing your face, at that point he or she will temporarily be scared by unfamiliar faces.

What Do You Think It Takes To Earn A Million Dollars?

Did you know that the vast majority of "wage earners" will earn less than one million dollars their entire working lives? Better than 95% of working people, right here in the U.S.!

Let's do the math...

The U.S. gross median income today is around $35,000 per year, the average person has a working life of around 50 years (age 17-67). I will take a high average of $30,000 for each of those 50 years, or 1.5 million dollars gross.

After income tax, property tax, sales tax, and every other tax- That leaves us with about one million cash for a lifetime of work. Though please understand that this is a simplistic evaluation for the sake of argument, this dose not include variables such as bank interest, stocks, bonds, property wealth, etc... But I will touch on these another time.

My goal is to impress upon you the true meaning of this amount, and what it takes to be a millionaire. The majority of us will buy homes, cars, food, clothing, energy, insurance, and education. Raise families, live, love, and play, for most of our lives on one million dollars.

Many "self-styled" wealth "gurus" like to throw that number around because it makes for good ad copy, Million, Millionaire, Make Millions, and so on. The reality is that most people don't really understand or care about money itself. Most people love the "idea" of wealth and what it can bring... Freedom to quit a job, a life of luxury. Freedom from work...

I'm sorry, but there is no such thing as freedom from work. It is this dream of wealth that blinds many of us to all these "million dollar cons". "A sucker born every minute" is a reality and will keep con-artists in business. Also why many of us will continue to be scammed, suckered, and bamboozled for a very long time to come!

Self-made millionaires, if you ever meet any, are some of the hardest working people you will ever meet. Smart business minds see money as a tool, and utilize it as such. To the entrepreneur, cash is blood, oxygen, life of the business. And without it, business can't survive. What if a successful entrepreneur offered to teach you how to make $1 a day-every day, for ten minutes of work a day? Sound like a joke?

Consider this, a solid plan for earning $365 dollars per year? Or, "A Million a year working part time!"

-A twenty dollar eBook promising several thousand per week for a few hours work?

-A several thousand dollar course promising a million the first year?

-A solid, common sense plan, step by step, and the first step is one dollar a day?

Are you thinking "$365 a year, why bother? Consider compounding; multiplying your effort. $1 dollar for 10 minutes of work, work 1 hour $6, work 2 $12, and so on.

As you gain knowledge, your skills sharpen, your efficiency increases. One dollar will become two, then five, then ten and so on. That is how you build a business, which is how you build a fortune. $100 a day, sound better?

Reinvestment;

Many of these "get rich quick" Gurus love to tell anyone who will listen how they" made a million" doing this or selling that. Just assuming that's the truth, what they will forget to mention is the $500,000 or more it cost them to earn that million.

They will also forget to mention the many years of 14hr days spent building to that level. They have spent many years of developing skills, acquiring knowledge, networking, and the many failures along the way. Most successful companies will reinvest 33% to 50% of income. The least efficient, or those with massive overhead costs, will spend 80-95 cents for every dollar earned.

Yes it costs money to make money. As your business grows, reinvestment will be necessary. You will spend on marketing, education, automation (software, employees, etc...). But in the beginning all you will need is time.

Reinvestment is key...

Compounding is key...

Let's face it; you will never make a fortune working for someone else. You'll never reach a goal if you never HAVE a goal. You will never get what you want by dwelling on what you don't want. Nothing worth having is free or easy. Indulging in "POOR-PERSONS" thought will make you just that, poor. Now what are you doing to live your dreams?

Are You Really Making Love?

In biblical times it was referred to as "knowing". Today the act of sexual intercourse between couples is most often relegated to "having sex" or "making love".

It isn't that "making love" is really negative. It's definitely preferable to "having sex" particularly when your married.

I would just like to take a few minutes to examine how our language might be coloring our perception of the act and the relationship between a husband and wife.

When we look at the term to "know" - among other looser definitions one of them includes - "be cognizant or aware of a fact or a specific piece of information".

To "have sex" implies the act - without emotional involvement.

To "make love" has been generally regarded as the more intimate version of intercourse between a husband and wife. Then I started thinking about it. If "love" already exists - how can you make it? If the cake is already done you don't make it again.

In a way "making" love implies that you are attempting to create something that doesn't exist. You may have the ingredients for love but - it isn't there in it's ultimate form.

So if our beliefs lead to our thoughts which dictate our actions and our intent is to "make love" with our spouse, isn't making love a self-defeating action?

Aren't we still trying to use the external or physical to create something internal? Something so delicate and beautiful yet blazing with passion that men and women have dedicated volumes to it's description?

The human race has tried to expand on something that was written almost 2000 years ago where in the Greek language the word Charity was "Agape" or the broader sense of the word "Love.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13

1) Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

2) And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

3) And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

4) Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

5) Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6) Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

7) Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8) Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

9) For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

10) But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

11) When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

12) For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

13) And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

And yes - much was written long before then too.

In the end - if you understand the power of your thoughts and words to initiate your actions. The next time you embrace your spouse and wish to enjoy those moments of pure bliss - remember this; you aren't "making love" - you don't need to create something new - you are simply sharing an intimate moment (hour or two). The physical expression of the love that already exists between the two of you.

What is Courage?

Do you face life head on? Do you welcome every challenge and see victory as the only outcome? Are you full of valour and fire, defending causes and standing up for what's right and good?

If so, you sound like you might be a knight. A noble knight, riding out to do battle with the dragon every day of your life and making the way safe and clear for those behind you. It's exciting and challenging.

But are you a brave knight? Or a courageous one?

What does courage mean? What is the difference between courage and bravery?

First of all, think about what courage might mean. Strength of purpose, to do one's best and not swerve from one's path. Integrity - to do battle with the forces of darkness fired up by truth and principle, and dependability to do the right thing. It might mean having the imagination and vision to know what might happen if you do battle, and yet being driven by personal conviction to fight on. It means putting oneself on the line and standing up for what is right and true.

And what about bravery? Does bravery not require the same strength of purpose and integrity? A brave knight shows just as much determination and fortitude, and fights for justice and truth.

In fact, bravery and courage are identical in all respects bar one.

Courage comes from the heart. Quite literally.

Courage is born of love and compassion; it seeks truth and justice because that is what steers the heart and guides it on its true course. Not an external principle adhered to out of blind loyalty.

Courage is what you show on your journey when you face challenge and conflict with the strength that comes from love. It is stronger than fear and it is stronger than death. It can survive anything because although you might falter and stumble, courage is what picks you up again, dusts you down, and sets you doggedly on your path to make a difference and to be the best person that you can possibly be.

Courage is the energy of the truth in your heart. Be guided by courage. It is your companion on your journey to your heart.

Deaf And Blind

Usher syndrome - "a genetic disease causing deaf and blindness." A simple definition. In essence, this disease slowly blinds you by progressive retinis pigmentosa, as well as ruin your hearing through congenital hearing loss. This particular disease can only be inherited, and is uncommon becuase it is a recessive trait. It can occur in an estimated 1 in 11,000 people.

"Usher Syndrome" is not a name which best describes or reflects its signs and symptoms. It was named this becuase of C.H. Usher, a British ophthalmologist. He wrote about the disease when it was unknown, and described cases in which there was a clear link between congenital deafness and retinis pigmentosa. This was long ago, and he was ahead of his time, as the paper was writtin in 1914.

This condition has three seperate types; Usher Syndrome I, II and III. I is the most unfair, as the child is born almost completely deaf, and eyesight begins to fail after about age 10. In type II, eyesight does not tend to degrade until later in life, but the child is born hard of hearing. Type III syndrome is the most common, wherein loss of sight and hearing occurs much later in life.

The USH3A gene is responsible for creating a protien that is essential in the development and upkeep of the retina and inner ear. Usher syndrome type III is a result of a mutation whithin this gene, however, the full explanation as to the protiens role in vision and hearing loss, is yet to be discovered.

The Grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ - His True Grace, Not the Watered Down Religious Version!

Now, I hope to reach people of all levels of Holy Spiritual maturity with this article, whether the Father God is, right this minute, beginning to call you, or you have been a faithful follower of the Lord Jesus Christ for many years. To those of you who are long term believers and have been fortunate enough to find and belong to a grace filled fellowship, I say to you, you are truly blessed, but please read on as there will probably be something new for you here anyway.

Grace - why grace, what is it for? Why did Paul always greet the Churches in his letters with the opening remarks in 1 Corinthians 1:3 "Grace be unto you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ"? Could it be that together with the message of the free undeserved gift of eternal life in the Kingdom of God it was the most important aspect of the Lord Jesus Christ's message and the reason for His coming? Yet in so many fellowships, it is at best misunderstood, and at worst, completely ignored and not preached at all. Why is that, and why is the word 'grace', in Paul's salutation, accompanied by the word 'peace'? Quite simply, because without fully understanding grace and living fully under grace you will never fully experience the total peace that Paul refers to in Philippians 4:7 as "the peace of God that passeth all understanding." We have to be totally free of guilt and reproach in order to know and experience this peace. Without fully understanding what grace is you will never be at peace as a Christian. Are you one of these unfortunate people?

I was a member of a legalistic cult, known as The Worldwide Church of God, for seven years, where the ministers behaved like Pharisees and regularly laid guilt upon us through Old Covenant teaching i.e. trying to get us to keep the Old Covenant Law under our own strength. We, the congregation, were as those described in Galatians1:6 (foolish Galatians) only most of us, in all fairness, had never heard the original true message of grace in the first place. In defence of the cult, what I will say is that we learned Old Testament scriptures very thoroughly indeed, which in itself, as a study, was not a bad thing. I will also add at this juncture that cults do not have a monopoly in legalism - they are not the only grace killers, but I have digressed somewhat - just a little about my background.

To give us a sense of what is important to God, the word 'Grace' appears 131 times in the New Testament (The King James Version), and the words 'Kingdom of God/Heaven', 109 times. By contrast, the word 'religion' appears 5 times. In three cases of the use of this word it accurately refers to the Jews and their legalistic ritualized religion. In the other two uses, it means praise and worship in one and in James 1:27 it is referring to pure religion which, in this context, is really love in action and not religion at all. James here, though, is mocking religion not sending it up. From this evidence alone we can easily deduce that religion is of man and not of God.

So what is so important about Grace? Well, to those being called as well as to those already called, it's all-important. It's all about Jesus' sacrifice - His once for all time, for all sins, sacrifice. Jesus took all of our sins with Him to the cross, all the sins we have committed in the past, all the sins we have committed today and all the sins we will commit in the future.

Psalm 103:11-12 For as the heaven is high above the earth [so] great is the mercy toward them that fear (love and revere) Him. As far as the east is from the west [so] far hath He removed our transgressions? (Brackets mine)

Under grace our sins are not only forgiven but also forgotten, and all of them, not just today's and yesterday's but our future sins too. We must learn the above truth about the all encompassing nature of grace and take it on board or we will never fully grow in faith and reach our full potential. In Luke 18:8 the Lord asks this very question, the second part of verse 8 "Nevertheless when the Son of Man cometh (returns as King of Kings), shall he find faith on earth?" (Brackets mine) This is what Jesus will be looking for, not how many Saturday or Sunday Sabbaths you are keeping or have kept. The Pharisees, with their religious mind set, were not a first century phenomenon; they are still with us today. 2 Timothy 3:5 "Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof" - the men of the Christian Religion.

The wondrous thing about this once for all and all time sacrifice is that it is only half the story. The Lord Jesus Christ's death took away our all our sins but His Resurrection gave us life, a new life and a new identity as a new person, a life of freedom, free from guilt, no more reproaching ourselves and most importantly an opportunity to grow in Godly confidence and faith. We cannot grow in Godly confidence without living under The Lord's true grace - it's impossible! Furthermore, this means we can then be confident in Jesus' love and unconditional acceptance of us His friends and brothers just as we are provided we have repented and confessed our sins at baptism.

Finally, and this may shock some of you, after our initial repentance and keeping a repentant heart (a right attitude toward sin) or looking after our new heart of flesh, no more confessing of sins is needed; no more asking forgiveness, and no more penance, what ever that means. I never could figure that one out and if I were you I wouldn't even go there!! (Please see my article: "Is Repetitive Confession of Sins Biblical?") Let us now get one or two things straight, because under Grace we now have a new identity and that is what it's all about - identities. This means we are Born Anew, a completely new life; we are now Born Again, we're new people. Read the wonderful story of Nicodemus John 3:1-13. I never tire of it.

Now, when the Father looks down at us from Heaven, He sees not us, with all our sins and imperfections, but the Lord Jesus Christ, who is perfect and in us through the indwelling of Holy Spirit - this is grace. As and when we do sin, even willfully, Jesus is there to intercede for us with the Father. (Roman Catholics please note, not Mary as she is asleep or dead in her grave and knows nothing. Furthermore she will continue to know nothing until she is resurrected when The Lord Jesus Christ returns to this earth in power and glory. Please see Ecclesiastes 9:5 to learn what happens when we die). If we continue in willful sin He will even sort that out too. (Please see my articles: "Are Christians Going To Heaven?" and "What Does it Mean - To Sin Wilfully? - Parts 1 & 2)

Now I have covered quite a lot of ground so far on this crucial topic and I can hear the flagellators crying "heretic!" and groaning at the thought of realising that they may have to admit to the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ has done everything for them, but will they? They will probably reach for their Bibles and immediately quote John's letter:

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

The thing is, is this verse countering what I have said in the above paragraphs? No, definitely not. The first chapter of John's letter is not written in the same style as Paul's letters and, perhaps, is not a letter at all, but more of a sermon. Now this evidence is crucial, for the first chapter of 1 John is addressed to a different audience from those in the second chapter, which is where a lot of 'experts', Bible intellectuals and theologians go wrong. The opening verses are a declaration of John's witness and personal experience of the Lord Jesus and of the opportunity, for those who believe, of eternal life, and the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Light - verses 1-5; but to whom is he declaring this information? Those who were already believers or already Born Again would have known this information. People don't declare old information they only declare new information or news; something that has not been heard before.

Time was precious, even in the first century, and John would not have wasted his time preaching to the converted. John was speaking to non-believers or those who were beginning to show an interest in the Good News or those being called. That is why he is declaring it, as if, for the first time because his audience will have not heard this message before. As stated, in verse 8 we read "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves..." Those born again in that congregation would have already known this and would have confessed their sins previously at the time of their baptisms; again, why would John preach this message to the converted? Once born again, we have a new heart - a repentant heart; we now think differently. No, these verses are aimed at the unconverted - those who may be saying they have no sin.

Back to verse 3: "that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us..." Please, note this and, note it well, because John is saying: "that you may join us." These people are not yet church members, they are potential converts - they are not established believers and they are not yet members of The Church. All John is saying to them is this; you can no longer carry on living the way you are, denying that you are sinners or thinking that you are not in need of redemption. He is explaining that they must decide to put their old lifestyles behind them, they must confess their sins, admit their wickedness and not try to kid God or themselves that they're without sin. Quite plainly, John says to them again in verse 8 that if you say you have no sin then you are lying to God, your fellow man and even to yourselves.

More importantly, in chapter 1 verse 10, John also says that we make God a liar as well and His Word is not in us. These passages are here to help bring new converts to true repentance i.e. to help them realize that in their fallen condition they need redemption and to know what is involved in order to become a Born Again true believer and follower of Our Lord Jesus Christ. All the Lord is looking for, is that God given change of attitude towards sin, a one and only confession, and then a continuing repentant heart. This means an ongoing willingness to change as He empowers us and guides us, not our "personal self-improvement program," "our getting ourselves 'right' with God," "our participation," "daily cleansing," "salvation by progress," "sanctification by process" or "boot strap DIY Christianity" as I call it.

The words of the first chapter of 1 John should be extremely challenging and thought provoking for those coming to the Lord, and if accepted, then euphoric for new believers, but, and this is a big but, if these words are preached or taught as binding on those already Born Again, they are blasphemous and lethal, and will literally put that believer back into bondage and legalistic slavery.

In chapter two, of 1 John he continues his message to new converts and babes in Christ, repeating some of the basics of the first chapter, but by verse 8 of chapter 2, he has shifted the emphasis by explaining that the darkness has past and they are now walking in The Light. By verse 12, he speaks to these new converts by telling them their sins are now forgiven; notice, not some of their sins, but all of their sins. In verse 13, his message shifts again, and it is now aimed at the older members of the church, here called fathers, but the correct word here is elders for we have only one Spiritual Father. In the same verse he also speaks to the young men of the church. We have, therefore, in 1 John a letter that is not only addressed to non-believers and newcomers, but also to people at different stages of maturity in the Faith.

OK, I have now come to the core issue of this study and the main question, which is - do we as Born Again believers have to continually and repetitively keep asking the Lord God for forgiveness and endlessly confess our sins to Him? Let's stop and think about this for a while. I have already quoted God's Word that Our Lord took all of our sins with Him to the cross. If that is the case, and I know that it is, then why do we keep on reminding Him of our latest sins? By doing this we are really saying to Him:"Here you are Lord, here are some sins you forgot to take with you to the cross." Now is this a blasphemy or not? To me it most assuredly is. Here is another question: If you are still confessing your latest sins having already confessed you were a sinner at baptism, what do you expect The Lord Jesus Christ to do with your latest sins? He dealt with those sins at the cross so that at the point of your calling he would accept your confession. At that point in your life He forgave you all your sins, how many times do you need forgiving?

I now, no longer confess my sins to Him, and I will now give you the Biblical reasons why. Let us move onto 1 John 3 verse 1. As Born Again believers, we are now loved and accepted sons and daughters of God. Verse 2: he who sins breaks the Law and yet, verse 3, Jesus was manifested (clearly visible and apparent to the mind), to take away our sins - all of our sins, not just some of them. Verse 6 - now get this: "Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not;" how does that work then? I have not stopped sinning, I am human, but then I have not stopped trusting and believing either. Doh! Of course! I am abiding in Him if I keep on trusting and believing, so even though I sin, I don't sin as far as the Father is concerned. He sees only the new Born Again man with Jesus Christ in me via the Holy Spirit, and not the old me. I am not going to argue with Jesus Christ and the Father over that, are you?

John then reaffirms this in verse 9: "whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin: for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin because he is born of God." I'll repeat my question: How does this work then? It works because He took all of our sins to the cross. This includes all of today's sins and tomorrow's as well. If He took them all then we must be perfect in His sight. Quite plainly if He didn't take them all then we are, horror of horrors, still in our sins. The bottom line of this is, if we, as believers, are still confessing our sins and asking for forgiveness of our sins, we are trampling all over His Sacrifice. We are forgiven - period, there are no steps, stages or phases to forgiveness, we are either forgiven or we're not forgiven and that's it.

What about the Lord's Prayer I hear you ask? Am I saying then that The Lord's Prayer is not for Born Again believers? In a word, yes, because it was delivered to those who were not yet Born Again, they were still under the Law. Even the Lord Jesus Christ was under the Law whilst He was in the flesh and walked this earth; Matt. 6:9-15. Verse 12: "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us." This statement is a conditional remark. Life under the Law was strictly conditional, do this and do that, don't do this and don't do that, in order to be forgiven. Now we are under Grace, we are free to choose. Because we are now forgiven, it should be natural to forgive, not forced or coerced. It should now be unnatural not to forgive. How can we not forgive knowing what He has done for us? Please read the story of the wicked servant in Matt. 18:23-35.

Now let's go to the last verse of this study, 1 John 3:3 which I believe says it all: "And every man that hath his hope in Him purifieth himself even as He is pure." There you have it in one verse, and if you keep your hope and trust in Him you are as pure as the Lord himself. So if we are pure through keeping our faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ how can we confess sins - where is the need to confess sins? We are literally asking the Father God to forgive transgressions and sins He cannot see.

I hope this will be of help to all who read it. Watch this space for further studies.

The Origin of The Dog

There are many thoughts and hypotheses, but in reality, we do not have an accurate timeframe regarding the exact origins of the dog or its domestication history.

We do know that its closest ancestor is the wolf, taxonomically it forms part of the group of animals called Canidae, these include wolves, jackals, coyotes, dingoes, and foxes. It is now widely accepted that Canis lupus familiaris (originally classified as Canis familiaris) reclassified in 1993 by the Smithsonian Institute to reflect its wolf ancestry, has wolf like traits and is almost certainly derived from wolf stock.

Today's domesticated dog is probably a mutated form of the smaller Middle Eastern wolf. Archaeological evidence points to a time-period some 12000 to 15000 years ago when we started creating permanent settlements. This was towards the end of the Mesolithic period and the start of the Neolithic. The earliest of these settlements are to be found in the fertile area now known as Northern Israel. These Natufian villages the oldest recorded settlements, it is now widely believed that this where modern dog may have been domesticated. However, heated debates and counter theories are still ongoing.

Archaeologists have discovered remains of a burial site at a Natufian site called Ain Mallaha, in which an old man and a young pup are buried together, the mans left hand is cradling the dog. The puppy was probably killed to give the man company on his journey to the afterlife. What is so important about this find is that it is the earliest chronological evidence pointing to domestication. And suggests that humans had starting accepting dogs not just as pariahs and vermin but as companions and trusted pets, it therefore points to dogs probably being one of the very first domesticated animals.

The picture of the noble savage striding across the landscape his stone axe and spear at the ready, his faithful wolf-dog padding along next to him is a compelling vision, we could surmise that he had killed the adult wolf and located the den where the wolf cubs lay. Taking pity on them, he then took them back to his camp. Then through his ministrations and love they became domesticated therefore were the forerunners of today's modern canines. This fanciful idea is somewhat wide of the mark in the reality stakes.

In essence, you cannot domesticate a wolf, you can to some extent tame it to such a degree that it will accept human contact, but you will never domesticate it. To tame a wolf you need to hand rear it. You would need to start this before the cub was 8 days old, prior to the eyes opening, remember he was born deaf and blind and it takes some time for these senses to develop.

This would build an olfactory and tactile map of its surroundings and us as we handle them, they then come to accept our smell and touch, You would need to stay with that wolf 24 hours of the day until it was 16 weeks old, then if you had done everything right it may just accept some human contact.

However if that wolf then bred with another tame or wild wolf then the pups/cubs would be born wild, in other words the hand rearing would have to continue all over again. Therefore, that begs the question where did dogs come from and how did they become domesticated, if we cannot domesticate today's wolf with all our supposed scientific mastery.

Many including myself are of the opinion that they effectively domesticated themselves. They took advantage of an ecological niche and mutated from their wolf cousins to fill that niche. The trigger was our move from early stone age nomadic hunter/gatherer between the Mesolithic and Neolithic periods, when we started inhabiting permanent settlements and becoming hunter/farmers, my belief is it was that change that stimulated the rapid mutation.

It would appear highly coincidental, that when we started to cultivate crops and domesticate animals, which in turn required permanent or semi permanent settlements that these animals suddenly appeared? The drawings of animals in the Chauvet-Pont-d'Arc cave in France show no images of dogs, these paintings were made approximately 31,000 years ago; others cave drawings of less that 31000 years also do not depict doglike creatures

Wolves have an almost pathological fear of man. You cannot blame them; we have persecuted these noble animals since time immemorial. We have hunted them for their pelts and their meat and have something of a love hate relationship with them. Just look at the bogey man stories of the werewolf that have been passed down over the centuries.

We are fearful of these creatures and rightly so, they can be extremely dangerous, wolves and wolf hybrids do not make good pets, they are unpredictable and immensely powerful. It is illegal in the UK to own or keep a wolf or wolf hybrid without a wild animal licence, which are difficult to obtain. The nearest we can get to a wolf is called the Utonagan Pronounced Yewton-Argan two words, which started as a cross between German Shepherds, Huskies and Malamutes plus a few other odds and ends thrown in . They are stunningly beautiful and look but fortunately do not act wolf-like..

Given the pathological fear wolves have of humans it is quite likely that the incidence and appearance of dogs at the time of our settlements may well have been caused by a hybrid type mutation of the local wolf populace. Other than sex/reproduction, food is very high on the list of vital resources and we are a constant source of that. These Stone Age dog/wolf mutants must have thought Christmas had come all at once, a steady and constant stream of sustenance not having to hunt for it. Just lying about for all to take. This may have been the key for some of these wolves to lose their fear of man.

Dogs like faeces particularly human ones; it is apparently a probiotic and a valuable source of proteins. In part if the Indian subcontinent you can see village dogs following naked children about waiting for them to defecate so they can claim there prize, in parts of Africa when a baby is born they present it with a puppy as a botty-wiper. To prehistoric dogs our middens, latrines and village dumps must have appeared like manna from heaven.

Dogs have an amazing knack of inveigling themselves to humans they are born with the Ahhhhhhhhh factor, large heads and saucer size eyes make then almost irresistible to the primate that is in us all. As part of the primate family, we are hard-wired to want to cuddle something with the head and eye attributes of a pup. That is what makes them so successful in the evolutionary chain.

In what was a very small time-frame some 15000 years, they have gone from zero to 400 million. Paradoxically the wolf population has shrunk to a meagre 200 thousand At one time, the wolf (Canis lupus) had the most extensive range of any land mammal (excluding man), which included the entire Northern Hemisphere north of 13o - 20o north latitude.

Its range has now been cut back extensively mainly by the action of man. Many countries that formerly had wolf populations, including Great Britain, Mexico, and Japan, now have none, and in other countries, such as the United States, wolves occupy only a fraction of their former territory.

So how has this doggy success story happened? To all intents and purposes, dogs are highly successful biological parasites they are on a par with the ubiquitous cuckoo. They con us with their winning ways, cost us a fortune in food, time and vet bills and what do they do in return with the exception of a few working dogs like assistance, sniffer, and gundogs? Basically nothing.

Look at it this way if the human race all died tomorrow because of some nasty pandemic virus what would happen to the dogs? They cannot hunt for themselves they have lost that ability through domestication, therefore within a few generations they would probably all die out. Given the same scenario if a pandemic virus killed all the dogs how many of us would die as a result? The answer is none! it would upset a lot of people but it certainly would not have the affect that our demise would have on the dog population.

Having said all that I am an out and out dog nut, I am passionate about them despite their parasitic ways. Though their passing may not have the same disastrous affect, the world would certainly be a sadder lonelier place without our very best friend the dog.

Judge Not Least You Be Judge

Many Christians today heavily rely upon the present day Theologians to tell them how to believe. They think that these teachers must be right because they are suppose to know God's will and thus we must follow what they teach. Unfortunately people have forgotten the basic principle to following the teachings of Christ.

Christ came not so we would become robots thinking the same kind of thoughts and adhering to the standard principles of those who are supposedly in the loop. Christ came to set us free to think as individuals.

Too many Christians forget that Christ died for our sins so we would have the freedom to have direct contact with Him. A contact that opens us up to a new way of thinking.

The Holy Spirit was given to instruct people on the inside about how they would need to believe in their own individual life experience. This means that the laws handed down by Moses becomes a guide on how to treat others. But they are no longer the rules on how to follow God completely.

Jesus explained that we must love our neighbors as ourselves. That love supersedes judgment. He warns that He is the only Judge! He even makes an amazing statement!

John 10:39, "Jesus said, 'I came to this world to judge, so that the blind should see and those who see should become blind.'"

We are in a learning world and in order for us to achieve God's education goals for our lives we must learn from what we go through in our lives. In order to learn we must be presented with differences. These differences take on many forms.

Jesus came that we might have life in a lost world. A world that is filled with evil and unable to see that it and its people are wrong about life.

We are here to go down paths that show us why people who run this world are so corrupt. That is the reason we must be in charge of our belief system.

We must not let anyone tell us how to believe. We must rely upon the voice inside us and not on people or even theologians. Remember Jesus tells us that those who think they see are BLIND!

Hebrews 10:16, "This is the covenant that I will make with them in the days to come, says the Lord; I will put my laws in their hearts and write them on their minds."

Christians are suppose to gain revelation from the people who surround their lives not upon how others tell them how you are suppose to believe. We are born into different family experiences in order to learn from our families, friends and our culture about loving unconditionally.

We are to gain knowledge not from following the crowd but by allowing love to guide us in how we are to act towards each other. Love is the principle that Christ was showing us when He died for all people.

He did not die so we could cut off our family members when they didn't follow the words directly as taught in the Bible. He didn't die so we could hate the people who did us wrong. He died so we would understand the concept of love and how it helps us to overcome a corrupt society.

We are in a life game where our only hope of survival is to rely on the voice inside our head. A voice that is telling us how to let go of how the world thinks and to hold onto how God wants us to think.

2 Timothy 4:3&4, "The time will come when people will not listen to sound doctrine, but will follow their own desires and will collect for themselves more and more teachers who will tell them what they are itching to hear. They will turn away from listening to the truth and give their attention to legends."

Don't be confused by ministers and teachers who teach us to hate those who love. Listen to God's voice of truth and hold onto love no matter how many credentials the so-called theologians have before or after their names.

Many military heroes have died in combat in Iraq. Recently a so-called minister of the faith proclaimed that each of these people's death is the result of the sin of allowing homosexuals into the armed forces.

From his teachings crowds of people have intruded upon grieving families holding signs and chanting that their sons and daughters are sinners. All of this is done in the name of God.

When a minister, theologian, or teacher of any kind teaches you to hate, do not ever believe that it is God. God is Love! God is Good. And to say that he instigates hate is to allow people to think for you and not God.

Many people do not understand why we are at war in Iraq. They believe that the Muslim people's God is the same as the Jewish/Christian God. But I will tell you they are not the same.

All Muslims are taught from an early age that their religion is the only right religion. They openly teach hatred of Jews and Christians.

From their hatred of other forms of religion many are openly invited to participate in sacrificing themselves as human bombs in order to kill those who don't believe in their God. This is totally opposite from how Jews and Christians are taught to live.

Our Judeo-Christian Bible teaches us to love. We are taught to do good to our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us. We are taught the Golden Rule. "Love your neighbor as you love yourself."

Look how opposite each of these faiths are! One teaches hatred the other teaches love. To live in a teaching world is to recognize the difference between God and Satan. To play and win a life game we must control our own game!

When any teacher comes proclaiming a message from God that tells us we are to hate and destroy our brothers this is not Jesus Christ. These people love to hate and their hatred is for the sole purpose of controlling people and getting them to follow their teachings and not Jesus Christ's.

This is the very reason we must listen to the voice of truth that is within us. We must react in love and not allow evil people to gain control over us by telling us we must hate those who do not love like we love.

1 Timothy 6:3-5, "Whoever teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the true words of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the teaching of our religion is swollen with pride and knows nothing. He has unhealthy desire to argue and quarrel about words, and this brings on jealousy, disputes, insults, evil suspicions, and constant arguments from people whose minds do not function and who no longer have the truth. They think that religion is a way to become rich."

Many television ministers teach hatred against gays and anyone that does not follow the words in the Bible according to their interpretation. They use the Bible to persuade people to live according to their teachings and not God's.

We must be in control of how we think. We must take our own life experiences and allow them to shape and mold us into loving people who are compassionate and caring towards all people. Hatred is Satan and is opposite from the love of Jesus Christ.

We must not judge! Judgment puts us in the place of God. We are not God. We are the children of God. To judge is to prevent the Holy Spirit from speaking to us on the inside.

Never allow others to tell you how to believe. Never allow others to tell you to hate. If a television minister tells you to hate people because of how they love, turn them off!

Judgment prevents people from learning the truth. When we judge we no longer try to understand. When we judge we prevent the Holy Spirit from teachings us God's truth of how love helps us to overcome what we don't understand. "The Game Of Life It's Almost Over"!
